In Will Ferrell’s comedy, The Other Guys, Mark Walhberg is his partner in crime, although the two are actually playing NYPD cops that stumble through action moments somehow managing to come out on top.
The film may remind you of Inspector Gadget a bit, given that both characters always manage to walk away from a terrible situation only to end up hurting themselves tripping or fumbling in some stupid manner. After all, these are not ultra slick cops; they are in fact just the other guys.

Given this is Ferrell’s first entry into the action comedy genre misses at times, it hits the target enough that you will quickly be laughing again without even noticing the poor joke in between.

Walhberg plays Terry Hoitz who has some street sense although he is mostly dumb trying to get his reputation back after an incident where he jumped at the trigger and shot Derek Jeter. Finally he gets his chance to get out on the streets, but is paired with Ferrell who plays Allen Gamble, the nerd of the precinct.

Finally the pair get called out only for Terry to find out that Allen speaks in metaphors and drives a Prius. Ferrell plays the part excellently and is dressed for success as a nerd in aviator glasses and his standard perm
