Tom Hiddelston has been finding his groove the last few years and he is really on a role as The Avengers actor has been in quite a few films. It is clearly his time to shine as he is set to take on a starring role next to Charlie Hunnam. The duo will appear together in the Guilermo del Toro film Crismon Peak. Some of the plot points of the film have been reviewed via casting calls for extras, but what most people want to know if this will be a stepping stone for Hiddleston.
Given the fact that he is already in a del Toro film, some are now starting to question whether he might get to pop into Dark Universe, the Justice League Dark film that del Toro is also working on. Of course, Crismon Peakis filming right now so he will have to finish that one up first.
According to some of the leaks from the casting call the film is a gothic horror which should come as little surprise since some of del Torro’s previous films include Pacific Rim, Labyrinth, and Hellboy. The screenplay was written by del Toro, Matthew Robbins, and Lucinda Coxon. The cast itself is also pretty cast as it features Tom Hiddleson, Mia Wasikowska, Jesica Chastain, Jim Beaver, and Charlie Hunnam. Legendary Pictures is producing the film along with Callum Greene and del Toro.
The film follows Mia as a young author that faces a family tragedy that flips her world upside and makes it hard for her to choose between her lifelong love for Hunnam who she met as a child and Hiddleston who is a very mysterious bad boy that suddenly appears. Mia tries to run away from the ghosts of her past by running to rural England but the memories of the ghost follow her.
