When the Luther star was asked to comment about the speculation that he’s already lined up to take on the role of 007, he was keen to reiterate that there’s been no conversations.

The debate about who’s going to be the next James Bond has been fierce following speculation that Daniel Craig is stepping down from the role – including on Twitter using the hashtag #NextBond.
And Tom Hiddleston is easily the most-talked about actor in relation to taking over as 007, according to analysis from social media monitoring firm Brandwatch. But is he the most popular choice?
The social media analysis – based on tweets posted between May 8 and June 6 – shows that Hiddleston and Idris Elba are by far the most discussed of all the possible Bond replacements, with Tom Hardy a distant third.

Could the Billy Elliot star play 007?
The like of Idris Elba, Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston have been linked with playing James Bond for
months years now, but there’s a new name in the mix.
Jamie Bell has apparently been in talks with Bond producers about taking over from Daniel Craig, after impressing Bond boss Barbara Broccoli in his new movie Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool, The Sun reports.
Bell has starred in Jumper and Hong Kong since making a memorable debut in Billy Elliot back in 2000.
