I like ‘The Rock’ he has managed to prove that he can actually act, and far more importantly to the studios, he can pull in big crowds.
This has made him the go-to guy if you want to get your movie made. Basically if Dwayne says yes to a movie then the money to make it will appear as if by magic.
So it is not surprising that his name is now attached to a huge number of projects, and it looks like a large number will actually be made, with The Rock’s face leaping out from a whole stream of new movie posters
Here is a list of projects he is currently attached to.
Some are in some stage of production or post production, some are done deals, others are strong rumours
Die Hard In China, (Must have taken a crack team to come up with that title)
Rampage (80s arcade game brought to life)
A new “buddy action comedy” (Rumoured to be like 48 Hours or Lethal Weapon)
Wolf Man (Rumoured)
Journey 3: From The Earth To The Moon
San Andreas 2 (nearly $500million from the first one, a sequel sounds like money in the bank)
Big Trouble In Little China (reworking of 80s classic, it is possible original director John Carpenter may be on board)
.Alpha Squad Seven (comedy, action sci-fi and it is set in space)
Journey to the Centre of the Earth 4 (I guess three was not enough after all)
Green Lantern (Rumoured that he may have said no to this one)
Shazam! (DC Comics antihero Lobo will get the Rock treatment)
Predator 4 (Seems natural for him to take on an Arnie role)
Terminator 5 (So why not throw in another Arnie classic)
Son Of Shaolin (Another popular graphic novel will take its chances on the big screen)
Jungle Cruise (If you have ever been on the worst ride at Disney Theme parks Jungle Cruise then this is what the movie is based on, go figure)
Fast & Furious Spin Off (The Rock is pushing this rumour himself on Instagram)
On to of these he is also appearing in ‘Ballers’ TV series
