Knock Knock Quick Review

This is certainly a short review, I could not get past the first 30 mins or so of this movie. Keano has had some great movies and some, shall we say, not so good movies. This new offering is in a different league as far as quality goes.

The beginning of the movie is basically about two hot young women knocking on a middle aged guys door one rainy evening (presumably so their clothes could be wet) and trying everything to get him to have sex with both of them. Talk about 70s porn movie script, and what is worse it is even shot in that style. That was as far as I could get, a new low in Neo’s career.

Denzel Washington plays Frank Barnes in this high adrenaline, non-stop action movie based on a true story. Unstoppable also features up and coming Chris Pine as Will Gordon.

Their lives are turned upside down when a massive freight train over half a mile long is on a collision course without anyone driving it. The train is carrying a heady mix of poisonous gas and combustible liquids soon destined to wipe out 40 square miles of an oncoming city.

The only two men in any position to stop the train are Pine and Washington. The two race against time to stop the locomotive while risking their own lives.

I stumbled across The Stag by accident, and what a pleasant surprise it is. If you like “British” comedies you will love this movie. I say “British” as in style of humour, this is actually a great Irish movie.

Five guys set out on a stag weekend walking in the mountains of Ireland. No one wants a sixth member “The Machine” to go with them as the guy is apparently a complete animal. But its his sisters wedding so they can not keep him away.

And they were right this guy is a serious nightmare of a train crash waiting to happen. without giving away the plot, as there actually isn’t much of one, this is a very very funny movie.  The “Emperor penguins” scene is one of the funniest things I have seen in quite a while.

Loads of laughs, loads of good fun , and a cheesy ending that actually works very well. Great movie, find it if you can,

Clearly no longer the 80s, ‘Arnulld’ is way past his prime

When we see him at the beginning of the movie he looks ‘old’

His acting is worse , as if we even thought that possible

The whole movie is a bit messy but the supporting cast is pretty good Sam Worthington stands out as best actor easily (what was he doing in this?)

Lots of gun action and fights, feels very much like a B movie with quite a lot of money spent on it (Budget: $35,000,000 (estimated)

The blood and guts is more like a horror flick than an action movie, there is a LOT of blood

Overall for some reason I still liked the movie, cant put my finger on it but it was mindless escapism that works on that level, but that’s all.

I would vote it 5 Terminators out of 10
